We are here to help you with your apple repair or purchase of one of our fine and warrantied refurbished apple computers!
Most computer malfunctions can be overcome after a thorough diagnosis of the systems software. Apple Computer Services (ACS) concentrates on the operating system from start up to shutdown and provides precise troubleshooting of any software or hardware problems.
Problem solving on site saves you time as all components remain in place, in their own use environment and are not inaccessible for days at a time in the repair shop.

One question we get a lot - "Is it worth fixing my old Mac"? With rising fuel and food costs these days, buying a new Apple might not be feasable. More of us are becoming concerned about having a smaller "footprint" on the world ecologically speaking. Refurbished computers lessen the blow to the environment because they have effectively been recycled. They can also be easier on the bank account.
So yes, we believe it is worth fixing your old Mac or buying a refurbished one! Usually a High Performance Tuneup (HP2 - see below), adding RAM, replacing the hard drive with a larger capacity one or installing a faster video card helps enormously with speed and reliability!
On top of the latest techniques, whether it's an out of the box Mac Pro, iMac, MacBook or iBook, new machines need attention to detail in order to fulfill your requirements. Initial set up within OSX is particularly important. Setting up your accounts and passwords from the start is critical. Software installations and peripheral components require precise setup for top performance. Apple Computer Services (ACS) can help with this.
Note: We charge and additional On-Site fee of $25 to $45 depending on your location in Maricopa County.

What Products Can You Repair?
Mac Laptop Repair
From the G3, G4 or G5 Powermacs, PowerBooks and iMacs to the latest Intel-based machines we can get spares and parts for all these computers, and carry out almost any repair. It is worth noting that the older the computer the more difficult to acquire parts it becomes. In some cases it may be worth considering one of our refurbished PowerBooks instead of a costly repair. We can also arrange for your data to be transferred - this is available at extra cost and depends upon the nature and size of the data.
The most common faults that occur on all laptop computers are hard drives, memory, LCD screen or keyboard, all can be replaced - If the screen or motherboard need replacing these can cost more than the machine is worth to repair. We can advise you as to whether a repair is likely to be economical or not.
Common Mac Laptop Repairs and Sample Prices
• Replace Hard drive in a MacBook, PowerBook G4 or G3 and installation of
...OS X Operating System - 2 Hours at $45 per hour + Parts (from $75/$400
...dependanton drive size and speed).

Mac Desktop Repair
From the Macintosh Plus to the Dual G5 PowerMac to the Mac Pro we can repair, service and help maintain your Apple Mac Desktop. As desktop computers use more commonly found components than laptop ones, the parts usually required are much more inexpensive and much more easily accessible, hence a reduced repair cost.
Common Mac Desktop Repairs and Sample Prices

What Products Can't You Repair?
Monitors - these tend to have impossible to find parts and require a lot of disassembly and soldering - after many experiments the success rate was so low that we no longer repair these items. Once labor and replacement parts are taken into consideration we find that a replacement monitor is normally a more economically viable alternative. We sell a wide range of guaranteed refurbished and new monitors, so ask our sales team for an appropriate product.
Inkjet Printers - We don't repair these at all, the reason for this is that new printers these days cost from a little as $39+GST and although your printer may have cost a lot more when first purchased, a replacement is always cheaper and often of much better quality.
Laser Printers - These items can usually be repaired, but we suggest contacting the manufacturer of your machine regarding any fault for an Authorised Repair Agent.
iPods - These fantastic little MP3 players are great and we like them a lot - unfortunately they are not always repairable but we have had luck with iPod Sick Bay plus they have very reasonable rates and excellent service.
Scanners - Scanners are now relatively inexpensive, and again it is usually not economically viable to repair them. If you have a high-end scanning device we would suggest you contact the manufacturer.

Several computer security experts are predicting that the security "honeymoon" enjoyed by Macs will end this year. They argue that the profile of Apple, is on the rise, thanks to the iPod. And the more visible a computer is, the more attractive it becomes to hackers.
As computer columnist John Dvorak wrote Feb. 23 for MarketWatch.com: "I'm certain that widespread boasting about immunity from attack in the Mac community has finally awakened interest among the exploit coders, whose collective motto is either 'Oh yeah?' or 'Sez who?' So now the malware folks are having a look at the Macintosh platform to see where it's weak."
Apple also opened the door to hackers by using a well-known and widely available computer language called UNIX in its latest OS X operating system. Apple has good reasons for this move. Instead of the proprietary systems of the past, UNIX would allow more people to help shape the OS X system and programs that run on OS X. It also means, however, that more people can now create viruses and worms that can attack that system.
Recently, two worms and a security hole were reportedly found in the Safari Web browser used in the OS X system. While these problems have affected a relatively small number of Mac users, it's an indication that hackers have turned their attention to Mac computers in a way unknown in the past. The two worms, known as Leap and Ingtana, first appeared around Feb. 16. Leap was spread via Apple's iChat instant messaging software and could prevent certain applications from opening. Ingtana came a few days later, and could pass between Macs running OS X Version 10.4 over Bluetooth wireless connections.
Apple, of course, is not sitting around twiddling its thumbs (as has been all too often the case in the past with Windows' security issues). A company spokesman told the media that "Apple takes security seriously," and is working on a fix. Their Security experts are recommending that in the meantime Mac users turn off the "Open safe file" feature in their Safari browsers.)*
So why is this important? After all, Mac computers only comprise about 5 to 7 percent of the market. The answer becomes more obvious when you look at who uses Macs. For years, Apple has had a strong grip on the educational market in North America. The publishing business also relies heavily on Apple computers.
More important, however, is the fact that several years ago, key branches of the military switched to Mac computers for security reasons - fewer people were trying to hack into those particular computers. But there is a silver lining in this dark cloud for us Mac users. As one security expert put it, these security problems are more like a shot across the bow. It's a warning that it's time to stop taking your computer's security for granted and take the steps now to protect your investment.
